How Many 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcats Will Dodge//SRT Build?

We Ask Dodge CEO, Tim Kuniskis For The Answer...

With Dodge//SRT announcing the return of the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat for the 2023 model year, our e-mail was flooded with questions about the re-introduction of everyone’s favorite performance SUV.

It seems a lot of the original customers of the 2021 model, are upset about the announcement to build more Durango SRT Hellcats in 2023. According to many of them, they feel that the re-introduction of the Durango SRT Hellcat will wreck the value of their 2021 models.

Among the many e-mails we received, the most common question we were asked was “just how many of the 2023 models will Dodge make?” So, on the second night of unveilings during Dodge Speed Weeks, we had a chance to catch up with Dodge CEO, Tim Kuniskis and ask him about the 2023 model.

“I honestly don’t know how many we will make,” Kuniskis told us. “We had so many orders for the 2021 model, we added an additional 1,000 units to the original production numbers we originally announced. The 2023 model year, will depend on how many parts we can allocate and how many people want to buy them.”

While the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat will be much of the same performance, customers will have more options to personalize their 2023 model thanks to the available Plus and Premium packages that deliver even more content.

The Plus package includes Laguna leather seats, Trailer-Tow Group, Power Sunroof, and Adaptive and Advanced Safety features. If that’s not enough, the Premium package adds to the Plus features with Red Seatbelts, a Leather-Wrapped Instrument Panel, Carbon Fiber Interior Accents, and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

Dodge is also introducing two new colors for the 2023 model year, Triple-Nickel (PSE) and Frostbite (PCA).

Also the optional SRT Black package from 2021, which included 20-Inch x 10-Inch Lights-Out Aluminum Wheels, Eclipse Black Exhaust Tip, Gray Metallic Badges, and Satin Black “Dodge” Tail Lamp Badge has now been dropped in favor of a new Blacktop package.

The Blacktop package includes a set of 20-Inch x 10-Inch Black Noise Aluminum Wheels, Gloss Black Badges, a Satin Black “Dodge” Tail Lamp Badge, and Gloss Black Mirror Caps.

Ordering for the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat will open in September 2022, Dodge has yet to officially announce pricing.
