With all the hype surrounding the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, a lot of people are excited about the monster power from the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI HELLCAT V8 under the hood of the performance off-roader. Rated at 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque, the TRX is said to do a 0 to 60 miles per hour (mph) time in 4.5 seconds and run the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph. Impressive numbers for a truck weighing 6,350 lbs.
If you are a petrol head like us, one thing you can respect is a good cold-start from a performance engine. When it comes to the TRX, a performance-tuned dual exhaust system uses two resonance-free pipes to emit an awesome ground from the TRX’s massive 5-inch matte-black exhaust tips.
Thanks to Instagramer “HydroTRX”, we are getting our first chance to hear the amazing HELLCAT powerplant start-up underneath the hood of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX. Let’s just say, if you thought the 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat had a great sounding start-up sound, then you are in for a treat when it comes to the new TRX.
