Here Is Everything You Need To Know About The 2023 Chrysler 300 Series!

The Iconic American Sedan Enters Its Last Year Of Production...

The Chrysler 300 Series (LX) returns for 2023, in what appears to be the classic American rear-wheel drive (RWD) sedan’s last year in production. The 300 continues to embody its sleek American good looks, for one last year and Chrysler does appear to have a few things in store for the big sedan.

So what’s new for 2023?

While not much has changed for 2023, Chrysler has added the popular SafetyTec Plus Group package as an option on the entry-level Chrysler 300 Touring model. The package includes the following equipment…

  • 80-Amp Alternator
  • 276-Watt Amplifier
  • 6 Premium Alpine® Speakers
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop
  • Advanced Brake-Assist
  • Automatic High-Beam Headlamp-Control
  • Full-Speed Forward-Collision Warning Plus
  • LaneSense Lane-Departure Warning Plus
  • LaneSense Lane Keep Assist
  • Rain-Sensitive Windshield Wipers

There will also be a Special Edition model, to be announced at a later date. We do know Chrysler will be holding a special event at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), so could it have something to do with the car? I guess we will have to see.

Trims –

The 2023 Chrysler 300 Series will have three different trim levels to choose from…

  • 300 Touring (RWD/AWD)
  • 300 Touring L (RWD/AWD)
  • 300S (RWD)

All 2023 Chrysler 300 Touring L come standard with Black Noise exterior badging, 20-inch Black Noise wheels, Sport Appearance front fascia with body-color applique, and premium LED fog lamps for 2023.

The Sport Appearance also is standard on 300S V8 models. 300S models feature standard 8.4-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen with navigation, 9-speaker premium audio system with trunk-mounted subwoofer, and a dual-pane panoramic power sunroof.

Sport mode instantly transforms the personality and performance of the Chrysler 300S with reduced shift times from approximately 400 milliseconds to 250 milliseconds, increased engine and throttle responsiveness and firmer steering feel.

Powertrains –

While the award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 delivers 292 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque on Touring and Touring L (300 horsepower and 264 lb.-ft. of torque on 300S), the legendary 5.7-liter (345 cubic-inch) HEMI® V8 returns on the 300S as an option.

Both engines feature standard 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmissions.

For those models that are RWD and feature the Pentastar V6, they will receive the 8HP50 unit from ZF, which features adaptive electronic control and available paddle-shifted driver interactive manual control (Sport mode on 300S only). On Pentastar V6 all-wheel drive (AWD) models, the ZF-designed, Chrysler-built 850RE unit will be fitted. For HEMI models, the robust 8HP70 unit from ZF will come standard.

When it comes to all-weather capability, the class-exclusive, AWD system with front-axle disconnect is available for Touring and Touring L models. The AWD system features a front-axle disconnect that engages at any speed without the need for driver input and enables optimal traction and control based on a variety of inputs, including environment/weather conditions, driving styles, and road surfaces.
