Just a couple of weeks ago, my family and I attended the “Cars Under the Stars” annual fireworks and car event on the grounds of the wonderful M1 Concourse facility in Pontiac, Michigan. As always, we had a blast checking out all of the awesome rides and enjoying a firework show to kick off the summer here in Michigan. But one car caught our attention while we were there.
If you read our previous article about some of the Mopars that attended the event, you will know I was drawn to a late-model Chrysler 300 that was converted into an SRT Hellcat model thanks to a Charger donor car. The silver Chrysler 300, featured a carbon fiber trunk lid, Hellcat Redeye replica hood, and of course, the awesome 707 horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI HELLCAT V8. It also had an entire Charger SRT Hellcat interior swap, as well as the swap to the Hellcat Brembo brakes and adaptive suspension.
Then earlier this week, as I was glancing over the local Facebook Marketplace, the car appeared there listed for sale.
According to the ad, the car started life as a 5.7-liter HEMI V8-powered 300 before getting its Hellcat transplant. It appears that the donor car was a 2018 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat which had around 40,000 miles on the odometer when converted over to the Chrysler.
There are a few things that the car apparently needs, such as a rear-drive axle replacement and new front ball joints.
The ad states the following…
“Not A Regular Chrysler 300… FULL HELLCAT SWAPPED 2018 Parts With 40k Miles Rebuilt 5.7 Chrysler 300 Title DAILY DRIVEN MILES GOING UP DAILY!!! 5 exhaust codes for check engine light, rear driver axle will eventually need to be changed same with the front 2 ball joints other than that it is ready for you to pick up…”
The car is listed for sale at the price of $40,000 USD, which seems like a steal considering the performance and market for used Hellcats right now. And appears to be located near Redford, Michigan on the westside of Detroit.
