Goodyear Hires Two Former Stellantis Executives

Chamarthi and Roland Join The Tire / Rubber Giant...

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has hired two former Stellantis executives for senior management positions, effective today, August 1, 2024. Mamatha Chamarthi has been appointed as Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer, and Will Roland will serve as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

Chamarthi and Roland will report to Goodyear CEO Mark Stewart, the former COO of Stellantis in North America, who took over as CEO of Goodyear in January. Stewart emphasized the importance of leveraging data and consumer insights to transform how Goodyear meets customer needs.

“It’s imperative that we understand our customers on a deeper level, and both Will and Mamatha allow us to leverage data and consumer insights to transform how we meet customer needs,” Stewart said in a July 30 statement. “I am confident both will help us make agile and data-informed decisions, and I am excited to have them join team Goodyear.”

Mamatha Chamarthi: Chief Digital Officer –

Chamarthi previously served as Chief Software Business Growth Officer for Stellantis, where she was responsible for a software business that consistently met year-over-year revenue targets. In her new role at Goodyear, she will oversee all aspects of digital business and traditional Chief Information Officer responsibilities. Chamarthi will also develop a comprehensive digital strategy encompassing product, plant, service, and process solutions.

Earlier in her career, Chamarthi held leadership roles at ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Consumers Energy, and Daimler Group. 

Will Roland: Chief Marketing Officer –

Roland was formerly Senior Vice President of Media, Consumers, Analytics, and Digital for Stellantis North America. He led the integration of data, analytics, and insights into consumer marketing channels. As CMO at Goodyear, Roland will steer the company’s brand and marketing strategies, driving top-line actions and brand optimization initiatives. He will use advanced analytics and market insights to inform decision-making, drive innovation, and identify growth opportunities for increased profitability.

Roland also previously served as President of Solutions for Publicis Media, overseeing data and platform management, advanced analytics, data science, and applied marketing strategies.

Stewart praised both executives for their ability to understand customers on a deeper level and transform Goodyear’s approach to meeting customer needs. He looks forward to their contributions to the company’s strategic goals.
