Low-Production Paint Options Offer Heavy Duty Buyers More Choices:

Tradesman, Tradesman Power Wagon, and Big Horn/Lone Star Models Offer More Colors...

When it comes to the pickup truck market, manufacturers seem to offer more and more choices each year. While the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab lineups have more options than ever to offer, some people have been writing to us stating that they have seen strange colors on certain models of the new Heavy Duty lineup. So MoparInsiders.com figured we would set the record straight and shed some light on the questions.

New Holland Blue Exterior Paint. (Ram).

While the Ram Truck brand offers an array of amazing paint colors across its trim levels on the Heavy Duty models which include colors like Blue Streak Pearl Coat, Granite Crystal Metallic, Black Forrest Green, Patriot Blue Clear Coat and Delmonico Red, there is also a number of low-production colors that are available for select trims of the Heavy Duty models that can be speciality ordered by dealers at an added cost. The low-production colors have been around for about a decade and are popular among commercial companies.

Omaha Orange Exterior Paint. (Ram).

Currently, Ram offers a total of 17 low-production colors for the 2019 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups. The low-production colors are available on Tradesman, Tradesman Power Wagon, and Big Horn/Lone Star packages (not available on Big Horn/Lone Star Sport). The list of low-production colors includes the following…

  • Black Clear Coat
  • Midnight Blue Clear Coat
  • New Holland Blue Clear Coat
  • Robin Egg Blue Clear Coat
  • Case IH Red Clear Coat
  • Bright Red Clear Coat
  • Omaha Orange Clear Coat
  • Construction Yellow Clear Coat
  • School Bus Yellow Clear Coat
  • Detonator Yellow Clear Coat
  • Yellow Exterior Paint
  • National Safety Yellow Exterior Paint
  • Hills Green Clear Coat
  • Bright Green Clear Coat
  • Tree Green Clear Coat
  • Timberline Green Pearl Coat
  • Light Cream Clear Coat
Case IH Red Exterior Paint. (Ram).

Choosing a low-production color will set you back $450 U.S. MSRP. Considering pricing for the high-production metallic colors like Granite Crystal Metallic will set you back $200, the price for the low-production colors don’t seem to be that out of reach for many. For more information on ordering the low-production color choices, you can contact your local Ram Truck dealer for details.
