Shareholders Approve FCA & Groupe PSA Merger To Form Stellantis:

Merger To Be Completed On The 16th!

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and Peugeot S.A. (Groupe PSA) have announced that their respective shareholders’ meetings which were held yesterday, have approved the merger of the two companies forming the fourth-largest global automaker named Stellantis. According to FCA, the vote was cast with more than 99% of the shareholders in favor of the transaction.

In FCA’s report, shareholders also approved merger-related matters including the adoption of the Stellantis’ Articles of Association and the appointment of the previously announced members of the Board of Directors of the newly formed Stellantis, following the completion of the merger.

With yesterday’s approval by shareholders and final regulatory clearances over the course of the last month, both FCA and Groupe PSA expect the merger to be complete on Saturday, January 16th, 2021. After, Stellantis common shares will begin trading on the Mercato Telematico Azionario in Milan and Euronext in Paris on Monday, January 18th, 2021, and on the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, January 19th, 2021, according to both companies.

The new company identity will consist of 14 brands including Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS, FIAT, Jeep®, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, RAM, and Vauxhall. The new company headquarters will be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
