Fiat 500 By Repetto Goes All Out For French Fashion:
Special Edition 500 For France Only Makes Its Debut...
Elegance and poise, exclusivity and tradition. Fiat 500 and Repetto join forces to give life to the new special edition Fiat 500 By Repetto. An exceptional duo that leads us in a delicate dance to a world of grace and elegance.
While staying true to its heritage, the Fiat 500 has reinvented itself by associating its unique identity with popular top brands. The outcome is an exceptional selection of limited series that explore new ground for any urbanite, from fashion to luxury yachting and art, and now fashion and dance.
The special edition Fiat 500 By Repetto is the most recent tribute to the iconic Fiat and is one of the limited series launched in recent years with prestigious partners including Riva and Guerlain.
Sophisticated, elegant and high-tech, the new 500 By Repetto catapults this symbol of Italian creativity into the future. Center-stage with a Bordeaux Opera-colored coat, customized with an elegant edging featuring a dancer’s silhouette, a panoramic sunroof that bathes the interior in light, and alloy rims to complement the exterior design.
The same elegance continues inside, with the same timeless charm detail and a refined tobacco-colored Poltrona Frau leather upholstery. The ivory interior marries beautifully with the Bordeaux Opera dash.
The Fiat 500 comes with an exclusive Repetto gift box containing a pair of Repetto ballet shoes, a Repetto key ring and Repetto fragrance.
The Fiat 500 will come in a choice of two gasoline engines and two transmission types: a 1.2-liter four-cylinder with 69 horsepower with a choice of manual or the automatic Dualogic transmissions. Or the 0.9-liter TwinAir turbocharged two-cylinder with 85 horsepower. That’s quite the difference from the North American-spec 500 with a 160 horsepower 1.4-liter turbo four-cylinder.
For those who have never heard of Repetto, in 1947, inspired by her son, Roland Petit, Rose Repetto set up a tiny workshop making dance shoes at 22, rue de la Paix, a few steps from the Paris Opera House. Her skilled and intuitive products became an overnight success. Dancers from France and Navarre province flocked to the shop, making Repetto synonymous with the world of dance.
In 1956, Brigitte Bardot entered the shop with the sole purpose of finding a shoe as light as the demi-pointes she wore, but much more flattering and feminine. So, Madame Repetto created a new ballet shoe, using a technique directly inspired by how the slippers are fitted to the dancer: the sewn heel. The first Repetto ballet shoe was born, from the outset synonymous with elegance and grace.
Today, Repetto is still a coveted name desired by a refined clientèle of both dancers and fans of this unique world. Holding power without parting from the creativity of classical dance, shaped by its high standards and quest for excellence, Repetto is now established as a luxury French brand. At Repetto, this luxury starts in the workshops of the Dordogne, home to exceptional craftsmanship and perpetuating pure quality.
Constantly reinventing itself, the Repetto ethos and quality of expertise resonates across a whole range of products (footwear, dance, leather goods, athleisurewear) and in ever more fascinating and exclusive shops.
The special edition Fiat 500 By Repetto will start at €18,490 or about $21,000 US.
