FCA Canada Releases Their Sales Numbers, Up 19% Over December:

FCA Canada Makes Rebound After Disappointing Year Ending:

FCA Canada has released their official sales numbers for the month of January, and what a month it was. FCA Canada reported that a total of 14,191 vehicles were sold during the month. That is an increase of 19% over December sales numbers. The company has continued to reduce its rental fleet sales, to allow for more residual value for its customers across Canada.

2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. (Jeep Canada).

Jeep® Brand:

The Jeep brand reported sales of 4,664 vehicles last month. The Jeep Wrangler led the way for the brand, with 1,639 Wranglers leaving lots. The Grand Cherokee was in second place with 1,155 sales for the month, up 13% over last January. With 1,003 Jeep Cherokee leaving dealers, the mid-size Cherokee was down a whopping 42% over the previous January. Jeep Compass sales were up 51% over the same time last year, with 816 vehicles sold. The Jeep Renegade had sales total of only 51 units leaving showrooms.

2019 Chrysler Pacifica Limited. (Chrysler).

Chrysler Brand:

The Chrysler brand struggled during January, down 46% compared to the same time last year. With only 389 vehicles during the month, the Pacifica led the way with 277 of those sales. Chrysler 300 Series was down 43% with 112 of the large sedans leaving showroom floors.

2019 Dodge Durango Citadel. (Dodge).

Dodge Brand:

Dodge brand reported 3,183 sales for the month. The aged but affordable Dodge Grand Caravan led the way for the brand with 1,947 minivans leaving lots. Thats right, 61% of the vehicles sold for the brand were the Canadian-built Grand Caravan (behind Ram Pickups, the Grand Caravan was the second best-selling vehicle in the FCA Canada lineup).  Dodge Durango sales were up 74% over the previous year, with 700 of the performance SUVs finding homes. Dodge Challenger sales were up 184% over the previous January as well, with 270 units sold. The Dodge Journey crossover sold 217 units during the month, while the Dodge Charger only had 48 vehicles leave lots. Yes, the Chrysler 300 outsold the Charger in January.

One Dodge Dart managed to find a home during the month, in a dealers leftover inventory.

2019 Ram 1500 Sport Crew Cab 4×4. (Ram Canada).

Ram Truck Brand:

The Ram brand had a huge 9% gain over the previous January. Out of the 5,880 vehicles sold under the Ram brand for the month, 4,804 were Ram 1500 models. That is a 20% increase over a year ago. 

Ram ProMaster City sales were up 342% over last January with 115 vehicles sold. The Ram ProMaster van on the other hand had a decrease 19% in sales over last January with 269 units sold.

2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Sport Carbon in Alfa White. (Alfa Romeo).

Alfa Romeo Brand:

The Alfa Romeo brand reported a sales total of 39 vehicles for the month. That was down 59% over the same time last year. The Stelvio led the way with 25 of the performance SUV leaving dealers, while only 12 of the sporty Giuila sedans left lots. Dealers happened to sell 2 Alfa Romeo 4Cs during the month as well.

2019 Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio. (FIAT).

Fiat Brand:

The Fiat brand only reported a sales totals of 36 vehicles for the month. The Fiat 124 Spider led the way with 16 convertibles leaving lots in January. The Fiat 500 city car sold 12 units during the month, while the 500X had 7 vehicles leaving dealers. Only 1 Fiat 500L was sold during the month.
