2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman Warlock Is The Working Man’s Rebel

Updated Package Is Around $10,000 Cheaper For The Same Capability...

Amidst the escalating prices of full-size pickups, Ram continues to etch its mark with the timeless allure of the Warlock series. Originating as a tribute to the sporty packages of 1970s Dodge trucks, the Warlock has evolved into a more pocket-friendly alternative to the Rebel lineup. The 2025 offering maintains its hallmark blend of rugged capability and distinctive style, all at an irresistible price point.

Changes –

In the 2025 model, significant adjustments have been made. Firstly, the Warlock, based on the Tradesman trim, is now exclusively available in a Crew Cab configuration with a 5-foot, 7-inch box. Ram’s decision to omit the Quad Cab option for this model year appears to be a response to sales trends from the previous 2023 and 2024 models. Additionally, there’s a notable enhancement with the inclusion of LED reflective headlights, adding both style and functionality.

Powertrain Changes –

Following the Rebel’s lead, the 2025 Warlock bids farewell to the previous Pentastar and HEMI® V8 engines, instead opting for the potent twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter HURRICANE I-6 standard-output (S/O) engine. Generating an impressive 420 horsepower and 469 lb.-ft. of torque, this powerhouse ensures ample muscle for towing, hauling, or conquering off-road terrains with ease.

Exterior –

The 2025 Warlock commands attention on the road with its striking design cues. Adorned with black accents, from the grille badge to the exterior badging, it exudes a rugged persona. Equipped with a 1-inch lift and 18-inch x 8-inch black painted aluminum wheels wrapped in LT275/70R18E Goodyear Wrangler OWL all-terrain tires, it stands poised for adventure. Further exterior enhancements include an Electronic Locking Rear Axle, LED fog lights, performance-tuned shocks, black dual exhaust tips, tow hooks, and a series of skid plates (front suspension, fuel tank, transfer case, and steering gear), complemented by the distinctive Warlock bed decal.

Interior –

Stepping inside reveals a refined cabin that strikes a harmonious balance between comfort and functionality. The Warlock boasts black cloth bench seats, offering ample room for passengers and cargo alike. With the Tradesman Level 1 Equipment Package, additional conveniences such as second-row in-floor storage bins and a power rear sliding window enhance the overall comfort of the journey.

Infotainment –

The 2025 Warlock is equipped with the latest tech features to elevate the driving experience. The highlight is the new 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment screen, serving as the hub for entertainment, navigation, and connectivity. Complementing this is a 7-inch TFT digital display in the gauge cluster, providing essential information at the driver’s fingertips.

Colors –

Ram offers a diverse palette of color options for personalization. Choose from classic hues like Bright White and Flame Red at no additional cost, or opt for a more distinctive look with Delmonico Red, Diamond Black, Hydro Blue, Forged Blue, or Billet Silver for a nominal fee. With such versatility, you can truly make a statement on the road.

Price –

With a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $56,255 (including the $1,995 destination charge), the 2025 Ram 1500 Warlock presents exceptional value. Compared to its counterpart, the Rebel, which commands a premium of over $10,000, the Warlock offers comparable capability and performance without compromising affordability. For those seeking a formidable pickup truck without the frills, the Warlock emerges as the clear winner, delivering bang for your buck.

Ram could still reach a lower price point. Take the HFE trim, add 4WD, but keep the quad-cab, short box and V6. The tires would have to be changed as well. Offer this model with a similar two tone to the 1981 Macho Ram package with a few standout colors in addition to the black or white choice of the HFE trim.
