Since 2015, the Dodge//SRT brand has offered its new SRT vehicles owners a chance to learn about their vehicles on the track with their partnership with the Bob Bondurant School of High-Performance Driving. SRT customers have one year from their purchase or lease date to take advantage of the Bob Bondurant School of High-Performance Driving opportunity. Dodge will give eligible customers access to the school and vehicles for track driving. Participants can make a weekend trip out of the experience but are responsible for their own hotel accommodations and travel.
While Bondurant school has had some struggles financially over recent years, new owners have taken the helm. Stig Investments, Inc., a group of entrepreneurs who are racing enthusiasts and automobile collectors, announced earlier this week that it has finalized its purchase of the performance racing school. Dodge//SRT has also announced it will continue its sponsorship of the school and offer its program to owners of SRT products.
The school’s fleet of nearly 100 vehicles is exclusively Dodge//SRT products, including Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT HELLCAT models, the 840-horsepower Challenger SRT Demon (the industry’s first and only street-legal production drag car), and the legendary track racer, the Viper ACR.
“In the past 30 days, we’ve solidified key pieces of the Bondurant experience that will ensure the success and growth of the school,” said Bruce Belser, newly appointed CEO of Bob Bondurant School of High-Performance Driving. “From securing the FCA partnership to retaining our passionate team members, including renowned instructors Mike McGovern and Danny Bullock, and infusing significant capital into the business, we plan to continue to deliver the ultimate guest experience and a best-in-class work environment for employees.”
Belser is one of the three investors in the Stig group and is a two-time Bondurant graduate. He is a successful entrepreneur having founded several businesses and has served as a corporate pilot, commercial pilot, fighter pilot and U.S. Commander in the U.S. Air Force.
“Our continued Dodge//SRT partnership with the Bob Bondurant School of High-Performance Driving gives our passionate customers the opportunity to learn how to get the optimum performance from their new vehicles in a controlled environment,” said Mark Malmstead, head of Dodge//SRT marketing and communications. “Together, we have the perfect setting for a fully immersive driving experience like no other.”
