Dodge Hornet Named “Crossover Utility Vehicle of Texas”
FCA US, Takes Home Seven Awards At Texas Automotive Writers Association (TAWA) Auto Roundup!
Stellantis (FCA US) recently won multiple awards at the 2023 Texas Automotive Writers Association (TAWA) Auto Roundup.
The event was held between March 26th and 28th at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas. TAWA produces two driving events each year — the Texas Auto Roundup in the spring and the Texas Truck Rodeo in the fall. Media members enjoy driving and evaluating new vehicles competing for the coveted Family Vehicle of Texas and Truck of Texas. The March event saw wins taken by the Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, and Dodge brands for seven titles.
The all-new Dodge Hornet won the Crossover Utility Vehicle of Texas title and received Best Value, Best New Interior, and Best New Feature awards for its PowerShot feature. The “Last Call” limited edition 2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost won the Performance Vehicle of Texas award. Chrysler’s Pacifica Hybrid won the Minivan category for the seventh consecutive year. While the Alfa Romeo Stelvio took home a win in the Mid-Size CUV segment.
The Dodge Hornet offers class-exclusive and best-in-class performance features. At the same time, the Dodge Challenger SRT Black Ghost is a special-edition model that commemorates the end of the HEMI-engine-powered Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger. The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is the only plug-in hybrid (PHEV) in its segment, with an all-electric range of more than 30 miles and more than 80 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe). The Alfa Romeo Stelvio is a premium midsize SUV that delivers performance, design, and technology. It recently received updates for 2023, including the new limited-edition Estrema and Lusso models.
“Congratulations to Stellantis for bringing home 2023 TAWA Auto Roundup awards in a number of categories,” said Teia Collier, President of TAWA. “The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, Dodge Hornet, Dodge Challenger Black Ghost, and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio received well-deserved recognition from TAWA voters in attendance at our annual spring event.”
