Hornet GT Starts At $32,330 For 2024, Including Destination...
The 2024 Dodge Hornet is the brand’s first-ever electrified performance vehicle and is designed to disrupt the compact utility vehicle (CUV) segment. Offered in two flavors, the Hornet is designed to be Dodge’s first C-segment utility vehicle and fill in an important gap left by its volume-selling Dodge Grand Caravan and Dodge Journey crossover.
The Dodge Hornet GT returns as the industry’s fastest and most powerful gas-powered CUV. It is equipped with the Hurricane4 engine, a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder, delivering 268 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. The GT model reaches 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds in Sport Mode.
New for 2024, the Dodge Hornet R/T performance hybrid is the most powerful utility vehicle in its segment, with 288 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. It features a 15.5-kWh lithium-ion battery that provides 32 miles of all-electric range and achieves an EPA-estimated 77 MPGe. The hybrid model also has a total range of 360 miles. It introduces the class-exclusive, on-demand PowerShot feature, which delivers a burst of 30 horsepower, resulting in a 0 to 60 mph time of 5.6 seconds. The Hornet R/T offers three hybrid driving modes: Hybrid, Electric, and E-Save. It also has a Sport Mode for a more performance-focused driving experience.
Both models of the 2024 Dodge Hornet come with standard all-wheel drive (AWD) and feature best-in-class and class-exclusive performance features. These include Koni shocks, Brembo four-piston brake calipers, dynamic torque vectoring, and more. The Hornet also offers various packages and options, such as the Blacktop Package, Track Pack, and Tech Pack, which provide additional styling, performance, and technology enhancements.
Inside the Hornet, the driver-focused design is evident with controls, display screens, and features oriented toward the driver. The interior features premium materials, including class-exclusive Alcantara seats and leather seating options. The vehicle offers a best-in-class 12.3-inch digital cockpit cluster screen and a 10.25-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system with Android-based technology. The Uconnect 5 system supports Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
In terms of safety, the Dodge Hornet comes with a range of standard advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Support System, and Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross Path. Higher trim levels offer additional safety features, such as Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities with the Tech Pack.
The 2024 Dodge Hornet GT and R/T are available in seven exterior colors. Those colors include Acapulco Gold, Blu Bayou, Blue Steele, Gray Cray, Hot Tamale, Q Ball, and 8 Ball.
GT and R/T models, both offer a Plus package. The GT Plus variant offers a range of premium features, including full leather seating surfaces, eight-way power driver and passenger seats, ventilated front seats, and driver memory with three customizable settings. It also includes a sunroof, a Harmon Kardon® sound system, a hands-free power liftgate, wireless charging capability, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a remote start system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
On the other hand, the R/T Plus version enhances the luxury and convenience with its additions. It comes with full leather seating surfaces, an eight-way power passenger seat, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, a Harmon Kardon sound system, and a hands-free power liftgate.
Overall, the 2024 Dodge Hornet aims to deliver a combination of performance, electrification, distinctive styling, and advanced technology to cater to performance enthusiasts seeking a compact utility vehicle with a Dodge DNA.
The 2024 Dodge Hornet GT starts at $32,330 USD, while the GT Plus variant begins at $37,330 USD. If you’re interested in the electrified Hornet R/T model, it will have a starting price of $42,530 USD, with the R/T Plus version starting at $47,530 USD.
