Ram Mexico Announces 2019 Ram 2500 Lineup:

Only The SLT & Limited Models Are Available...

A couple of weeks back we showed up a new version of the Mexican-market Ram 4000 Heavy Duty Chassis Cab. Well, now Ram Mexico has pulled the covers off their new Ram 2500 lineup for the 2019 model year. While the Ram 2500 makes the cut for the Mexican market, the Ram 3500 does not. But the Mexico-spec 2019 Ram 2500 models are very limited to their options, so let’s take a look at the new 2019 Ram 2500 for the Mexican-market.

The 6.4-liter HEMI V8 is your only engine option in this market. The HEMI still produces class-leading power and torque of 410 horsepower at 5,600 RPM and 429 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,000 RPM. Unlike the Ram 4000 Chassis Cab, there is no manual option, as the 8-speed automatic transmission sourced from ZF, is standard.

Only two trim levels are available for the 2019 model year. The entry-level Ram 2500 SLT, comes in Crew Cab configuration and is a mix of the Tradesman and Big Horn trim-levels and ends up in the middle of them. The other trim-level available is the luxurious Limited model. The Limited is offered in a Mega Cab configuration.

The optional equipment packages are very limited for both trim-levels…

  • TRAILER PACKAGE – Loading area with perforations for the placement of 5th wheel/gooseneck trawl.
  • RAMBOX® – Available for the SLT version (RamBox® Pallet Storage System, Box Splitting System and Adjustment Hooks).
  • ELIMINATE RAMBOX® – Available for the Limited version, eliminates the RamBox®.
  • ELECTRIC SUNROOF – Available for the Limited version.
