Could This Be Dodge’s New NASCAR Cup Car Design?

Graphic Designer Shows Us How Cool A New NASCAR Dodge Charger Cup Car Could Be

For years, speculation has swirled about Dodge’s return to the NASCAR Cup Series. Now, a talented graphic designer has brought that vision to life with a striking digital rendering of a Dodge Charger SIXPACK stock car built to NASCAR’s Next-Gen (Gen 7) specifications. Turn 4 Graphics (@turn4graphics) has shared a first look at what a modern Dodge Cup car could look like, and the results are stunning.

Dodge left the Cup Series after winning the 2012 championship with Brad Keselowski and Team Penske, but rumors of a return have never faded. With the brand’s recent push toward performance-oriented models like the Charger SIXPACK, a comeback to NASCAR could be the perfect opportunity to reinforce Dodge’s racing heritage.

A Perfect Fit for NASCAR’s Next-Gen Car –

The Next-Gen NASCAR stock cars, introduced in 2022, feature a common chassis design with shared elements like the greenhouse (roof and side windows) and underbody aerodynamics. Despite these constraints, Turn 4 Graphics has crafted a Charger SIXPACK concept that looks right at home in the Cup Series.

The render showcases Dodge’s signature wide-body styling, aggressive front fascia, and distinctive design cues adapted to fit the Gen 7 platform. While every NASCAR body must conform to strict aerodynamic regulations, the Charger’s bold lines and muscular stance translate well to the Next-Gen format.

Dodge’s NASCAR Future: Still Just a Rumor? –

While this digital concept has fans excited, Dodge has yet to officially announce a return to the Cup Series. However, multiple sources indicate that the automaker is evaluating potential technical partnerships and engine suppliers. If a deal is reached, Dodge could be back in NASCAR’s premier series by 2028.

Meanwhile, Ram is rumored to be preparing for a comeback to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series as early as 2026. If both brands reenter NASCAR, it could signal a major resurgence for Stellantis-backed motorsports in North America.

“Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday” Still Rings True –

Dodge’s racing history is deeply intertwined with its brand identity. A return to NASCAR would give the new Charger SIXPACK valuable exposure and help drive interest among performance enthusiasts. The old saying, “Win on Sunday, sell on Monday,” still holds weight in the motorsports world, and Dodge could leverage NASCAR success to boost showroom traffic.

For now, fans will have to settle for the stunning render from Turn 4 Graphics, but if the rumors are true, we may not have to wait too long before seeing a Dodge Charger SIXPACK take to the track for real.

Be still my racing heart, it’s only a rendering, a tease, a temptation for Dodge people that frankly is mean, mean, mean. Too much for us longing for Dodge on the ovals again. This rendering is too much to endure. Meanies.
Darn, I looked again. There goes my heart, my blood pressure, too much.

It's being reported today, 2/27, Dale Jr. has been talking about Dodges (and Rams) return to NASCAR by 2026 on his podcast. He says he is excited for their return due to their muscle cars and past history. Does he know more than we are being told? Any chance he is or will be one of the new Dodge teams? Any chance Tony Stewart is on Dodges short list due to his current ties with Dodge? Now that Jr is spilling some beans, will we know more sooner rather than later?

Hey Mike, It's my understanding that Stewart Haas racing is shutting down and won't be competing in NASCAR anymore. They just haven't been competitive the last few years. TSR runs Top Fuel in the NHRA and I think a few occasional Sprint car races. Stewart owns Eldora Raceway and always seems to make an appearance there. The current top teams in NASCAR these days are Penske, Hendrick, Gibbs and a few others. I'm not sure who would want to field Dodges in NASCAR currently. A few names have been mentioned but it is just speculation at this point. With a rumored Days of Thunder 2 in the works from Tom Cruise and Jeff Gordon, now may be a good time to re-enter NASCAR.
And as Triple T mention above, IMSA is a great format with very exciting racing. I'm not sure why it never caught on to the mainstream like NASCAR did. I'm more of a fan of high speed road course racing with semi-stock cars than the spec series that NASCAR has become. The IMSA cars look better, handle better and provide better racing than the NASCAR series cars. But the TV exposure and the big money are in NASCAR. And Dodge has a long and successful history in NASCAR.
