Back in April 2021, MoparInsiders.com received some details about an all-new compact Ram pickup under development and internally known as “Project 291”, from our friends at Brazilian publication Auto Segredos (Auto Secrets). The new unibody pickup is focused on expanding the brand’s efforts in the South American market, a job that is currently being relayed on by a rebadged version of the Fiat Toro.

Now, Auto Segredos has even more details for us on Ram’s upcoming compact offering.

I would love to a mid-size Ram pickup sold here. If we are to get something based on the STLA large platform, then I hope it will follow the Ram 1500/Jeep Wagoneer formula. Which is two different vehicles sharing engineering and hardware. So how about a Jeep Cherokee replacement and Ram Dakota in the same way? Just my wishful thinking.🤔

We need a mid size truck from Ram. The midsize is back. And now a compact is in the segment also. We need the M80.
