Third model of the Jeep® Automotive Pole will be the most sophisticated made in Brazil

- With turbo engines, new car will have seven seats
- It will be the largest and most premium Jeep® produced locally

Inaugurated five years ago, the Jeep® Automotive Pole, in Goiana (PE), is already responsible for producing two successful models of the brand - Renegade and Compass. More than 580 thousand units of the two cars have already been manufactured in Brazil (until September 2020). Next year, the plant, which is the most modern of the FCA in the world, will give space for the manufacture of another national Jeep vehicle that reaches the market.

Equipped exclusively with turbo engines and with many new features, the seven-seat model will be the largest, most premium and sophisticated locally produced. The new car has been developed from the beginning entirely in Brazil (it is the only Sport Utility Vehicle in the D segment, that is, large SUVs, designed in the country), but it has a global concept and will also be exported to other Latin American countries. The launch will be in the second half of 2021.

“Our seven-seat SUV will arrive with internal space for the whole family to complete the Jeep range here, which already includes the national Renegade and Compass and the imported Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. We have no doubt that it will be another success of the brand. We are going to extend our leadership to the D category of SUVs and this launch is one of the steps for the renewal of our range here in Brazil ”, says Alexandre Aquino, senior manager of Brand Jeep for Latin America.

This is the seven-seat version of the Compass right? Or a localized Grand Commander?
Is there a chance of such a model coming to other geographic areas?

Small Wide. What else it could be?

From Motor1 Brazil:
It will be built on a part of the Small Wide 4x4 platform, the same that gives life to the Renegade, Compass, Toro, 500X and other models in other markets. The recipe is the same used by Toro, which from the middle of the body to the back is completely different from Renegade. "So it will happen with the 'SUVão', it will have parts of the platform that will belong only to him". Previously, sources linked to the brand had already told Motor1.com that the platform would not be exactly the same as the Compass , "using a solution from Europe" to create the 7-seater version.
