As a global business entity Stellantis must seize on the opportunity that remains under performing yet with incredible potential. However, from a geopolitical perspective it presents an equal potential for many negatives. First is the Communist government that is fundamentally an political enemy of western nations. There are human rights issues, environmental issues and issues of protectionism in western markets for overlapping domestic products under the Stellantis umbrella. Global businesses are tasked with being immune from political structures and tasked fundamentally with profit, in itself a contradiction to a communist economic system. The hypocrisy of it all is purely an eastern cultural characteristic that will allow Stellantis and China to do business with mutual blind eyes. Given the reality of the illusion, hopefully Stellantis will find the formula for success without losing credibility on the global business stage. The whole of western business is rooting for them in this lucrative market like no other. Just follow the money, that always works.
