As the European auto industry faces a sharp decline in demand for electric vehicles (EVs), many manufacturers are calling on the European Union (EU) to take swift action to prevent a further drop in sales and competitiveness. The European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), representing major automakers such as BMW, Volkswagen, Renault, and Mercedes-Benz, has urged the EU to implement immediate relief measures before the stricter CO2 emissions standards take effect in 2025.

Not only Stellantis.

Everyone in Europe is readjusting and reconsidering their EV plan.
And they called Toyota’s CEO crazy when he pushed back and warned them.

US market started showing the same thing.

VW is in a absolute panic. Toyota and its quick pivot to HEV was Brillant.

Ignore the people at your own risk. I feel so vindicated, but take no pleasure in this situation as clearly the myopic green geniuses have gotten us in this mess after everyone with some sense warned them. If the industry had concentrated on full, non-plug in hybrids and modernized gasoline engines, they may have made things manageable, but we had idiots leading governments and businesses all over the place. The people knew better, our leaders were clueless. OK everyone...”we told you so” !!
