Stellantis Celebrates Its First Year After Merger!

Its Been A One Heck Of A Year...

It has been one full year since Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and Groupe PSA (PSA) merged to create the fourth-largest global automaker known as Stellantis. The new Stellantis identity no longer considers itself as an “automaker” as it does a “mobility tech company” and believes to be at the forefront of a “new era of mobility opportunities, offering innovative, agile, and efficient solutions that will change the way the world moves”.

I feel it been good year, and the management team is fair blend of FCA & PSA.

I do feel better for North America long term than European Unit. Two factors:
1: I get the sense that the way John & Carlos have agreement that the way to judge integration success is reaching the cost savings goal of the merger (which falls in Europe). That way the company avoids “FCA vs PSA fights”, but at what damage to vehicle & brand desirability therefore long-term success and jobs? Everying about Alfa execution & what management keeps saying about the dealer network gives me concern.

2: Carlos comments about EV’s and 30,000 Euro price point to me re-enforce Sergio being unwilling to do a merger with PSA: the PSA brands might struggle at handling the pricing needed for Technology.
