Automotive Cells Company (ACC), a battery production joint venture backed by Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, and Saft, has announced a pause in construction on its planned battery factories in Germany and Italy. The decision comes as the company shifts its focus to developing lower-cost batteries in response to the slowing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) across Europe.

I'm a bit curious about this EV slowdown.
What percentage of vehicle sales are hybrids? I keep reading that the hybrid market is expanding rapidly.
Don't Hybrids also use batteries??
What is the size of a hybrid battery compared to an EV? If it's 25%, there should still be an expanding market for these batteries.
If Hybrid batteries are only 5%-10% the size of an EV battery, then why are they so expensive?
I could see a 90% drop in demand causing some reactions.
