It Appears That The 500e Will Get An Abarth Version...​

There is a lot of work going on beyond the scenes at Stellantis, involving the Abarth brand. The performance arm of FIAT, recently announced that it was returning to the Brazilian market with the introduction of the 2023 Abarth Pulse SUV. It also announced huge future plans to move to 100% electrification in the European marketplace by 2024, at Stellantis’ EV Day 2021 presentation in July 2021.

Olivier François has said there are significant changes involved for the Abarth BEV from the regular Fiat 500e. It is not a simple case of a bigger motor and more batteries. He also stated that despite the engineering challenges the project still continues, and he expects Abarth fans to be pleased with the results.

My guess (and this is strictly a guess not based on anything anyone has said) is there will be a different motor and a two speed trans-axle with torque vectoring. I don't expect multiple motors or anything like that.
