Recall: 2018 – 2019 Jeep® Wrangler (JL) Models For Improper Welds:
18,055 Jeep Wrangler (JL)s Are Effected...

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has issued a recall for certain 2018 to 2019 Jeep Wrangler (JL) models, due to improper welds on the front track bar.

Some of the above vehicles may have been built with a front track bar bracket weld located off the seam potentially resulting in the bracket separating from the frame. The separation of the front track bar bracket from the frame may cause a reduction in the steering response, which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning.

Its amazing in this day and age that welding is so difficult.. and the inspectors must be blind.

Ah conventional inspection is only 80% effective, the only way to get past 3 deviations is through process and statistical process control.
