Next-Gen Alfa Romeo Stelvio & Giulia Delayed

Next-Gen Alfa Romeo Stelvio & Giulia Delayed

Alfa Shifts Gears Toward Hybrids and Gas, Pushes New Models to 2026

If you’ve been patiently waiting for the next-generation Alfa Romeo Stelvio or Giulia, you’ll need to wait a bit longer. Alfa Romeo has officially postponed the debut of both models as the brand pivots away from a fully electric strategy.

Hope the delay leads to some emergency styling changes. The Stelvio has gone from one of the most attractive SUVs to perhaps the ugliest. That rear end is hideous, it is beyond ugly. Get it fixed or people will be walking away from this once popular SUVs in droves.
Did I mention it’s a mess of contradictions in design like so bad. Looks Asian not Italian. Change it fast. Failure !

Yeah the rear is 100% hyundia, i would have been convinced had i seen it in traffic one day.(hope i never have to)

I’m dead serious on that redesign. I see you agree. This hideous thing will never grow on me. What were these guys thinking? Obviously not something flowing and crisp. A third grader could do better. Might be an insult to third graders.

No Italian had even a slight hand in this. This was a French Fried Committee dive.

The design team, no matter its composition, has tried to go in a different direction in a quest for a bold statement and something funky. They skipped bold and flirted with funky and got something that is painfully ugly. This could sink Alfa Romeo. They were right on going a bit longer and wider and a refresh was beyond timely, but it speaks to desperation at the highest levels to redefine the brand. That redefinition was hideously executed for all to see in repulsive shock, not what was intended, but certainly produced, eventually to their regret. Not too late to make major changes or face the consequences.
