Good news for upstate New York which has been devastated by economic decline and huge population loss to “greener pastures”. New York, few people know, has such natural beauty, lakes and mountains that rival much more recognized regions and is dotted by quant and once viable towns and cities. Most residents moving out seek job opportunities, lower taxes and government that is much more closely aligning with their political beliefs. Sadly few businesses are locating in over taxed upstate New York and this facility is desperately needed by the hard core residents that carry on under trying circumstances. As a lifelong New York resident I am committed to this beautiful state, but here on Long Island, which remains a beacon of hope, economic prosperity, great public and private schools, safe neighborhoods and strong government success, very different from our NYC neighbor, things are wonderful which has not been possible under current circumstances for other parts of our state. Just so sad, really.
