I suspect FCA anticipates contraction in sales commensurate with expected market contraction. I like this strategy. It puts a positive spin on an unpleasant reality, justifies a new ad campaign and puts Dodge back in the headlines. The savings are significant for those not particularly well versed negotiations and may compel some to pay a little more than they otherwise would for a significant increase in horsepower.
I do wish, however, that it included the Trackhawk and was more of an SRT incentive than specifically Dodge, but that is minor and there may be reasons for it. While I won’t benefit as I’m not currently in the market, I applaud the announcement.

I think it's a great thing and yes Trackhawks should be included as it may help leftovers on the dealers lots. It would even make me think of moving up a year...Or two.. I am not sure what years it covers.

I’m not sure but I believe such incentives are generally one month deals on current model year cars. That said, the economy is expected to struggle and the incentives will continue as long as the markets require these adjustments to keep inventory from piling up.
