2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320. (Dodge)

We broke the news last week about the upcoming 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack based 1320 “Drag Pack”. Dodge decided to drop all the information this afternoon on the latest Challenger for the 2019 model year. This car is basically a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon for the 6.4-liter 392 HEMI SRT V8 buyer.

Named for the quarter-mile distance (1,320 feet), the Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 is powered by the 392 HEMI® V-8 that delivers 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque and is mated to the quick-shifting TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission with class-exclusive TransBrake. It is equipped with specially developed Nexen SUR4G Drag Spec 275/40R20 street-legal drag radial tires that deliver maximum grip and offer repeatable quarter-mile times.

I had all but made up my mind I wanted a Jeep. But now I'm drooling over this.

3.8 seconds to 60! How am I going to be able to pass on that for $45,900, especially since it seems to include most of the options I'd want as standard equipment! I'm so excited right now.

Reminds me of the Mean Bee Concept from the Rumble Bee Concept for 2014
I will take that as confirmation they are making a 1320 Ram 6.4l hemi...then the 6.2l TRX...and then the Ram Redeye...and then the 7.0l Powerwagon...I kid I kid.

But if I was in the market (tempting myself to be) this is hands down what I would have. 1320 Scat PacK Challenger, color to be determined. With a manual

Great times to be a Mopar Fan

This is 0.1 seconds faster 0-60 than a Hellcat 6M. Even the Hellcat Automatic is 0-60 in 3.6 seconds, so it's closer to the acceleration of the Hellcat than the regular Scat Pack.

Yeah but everyone is already bashing it because it is going to kill the overall speciality of the Demon! LOL

Did I see a suede steering wheel in the FCA US video for the 1320?

Awesome. Thanks @redriderbob. All the stuff is awesome.

This is just like the crosshair debacle, this in no way takes from the Demon. It just makes the scat pack the awesome historical car Club it used to be.

The only thing near as cool is the Rapid Transit System, but Plymouth is dead.
