Having an original Charger next to it helps you see just all that they changed on this one - DLO, windows, etc

Funny side note, designer Joe Dehner wrote me a letter back when I was in 8th grade when I wrote to Chrysler about being a car designer. Unfortunately my path went a different way. But Joe has gone on to design some beautiful cars for Chrysler, minus the 2007 Chrysler Sebring.

@redriderbob - Did they have to beef up the internals on the Tremec 6060 to handles that much power? Can the 8-speed auto from the Demon handle it (assuming so but like to check)?

Any shot this shows up in a limited run Charger or Challenger next year? :unsure::devilish:

From what i've found, the Tremec is rated to 650 lb-ft and the 8HP90/95 are rated to a hair over 660 lb-ft.

Found this little gem though:
  • The 8-speed auto capacity was upgraded by 30%, using new disks.
  • The 6-speed manual is used in the Viper, but has internal coolers with Hellcat.
This is from the other sites page regarding the 707 hp Hellcat which uses the 8HP90. So that one is just a hair over 860?

Considering this is a show car I am sure they don't plan on being the heck out of it. But it just says in the media releases its the SRT HELLCATs T6060.

did the press or will the press get a chance to drive this puppy ?

What? No AWD?:sneaky::p:ROFLMAO:

So if the new 7.0l for the Ram TR is even close to this but without the superchager and aluminium engine block (they say most add about 46% more power) so 46% from 1000hp is 640hp :eek:

It's not. The new 7.0-liter 426 Banshee HEMI will be an evolution of the 6.4-liter Apache 392 HEMI.
