I’ve flirted with Maserati for years. Lust drives one pretty hard. I wish my wallet would drive this quest a bit harder, but so far, no storybook ending.
I’ve seen a few of these new GranTurismos tooling around my area but so far the encounters have been fleeting, avoiding close scrutiny. Yea, this car is my object of lustful pursuit that makes me act a fool to even think it possible.
I’ve read this tale before, imagined myself in the pages of this fantasy, but now assured that Maserati is positioning itself around its strengths, hopefully adding something to replace its sedans and large SUV and forgetting its electrification nightmare that almost turned my fairy tale into a horror story.
“Once upon a time there was this Maserati wanna be who had three bears, one with a glass slipper and this cute puppet. The puppet, like he and the car, being Italian, who’s puppet nose grew every time he tried to flirt after a Maserati.”
Storybook aside, Maserati is making a move to consolidate, focus on strengths and core values and weave a tale that saves the brand of which stories are made for guys like me that lust but never become the white knight hero.
