IF they can get a Fiat powerplant in that, it would make it a lot better.

Not thrilled at this illicit relationship with China. Sometimes there are things more important than money. Hope my man Trump will ban vehicles like this and those built by China under the radar in places like Mexico. Many Americans do not realize the deep and fundamental differences between our economic systems and the status of workers in various authoritarian nations that translate into dirt cheap labor and horrible working conditions.
Stellantis might have been better off without these vehicles that basically violate the tenants of free markets, the bedrock of Capitalism.

Just love how Tavares complained about Chinese competition, yet he pushed a Chinese brand into his dealers to undercut their legacy vehicles.

Ahhh they are need to do this to survive. Maybe call it Fiat Leap or something but .... EU bottom of the Market will be dominated in 5 years.

Love em or hate em, the fact remains that these Chinese designed and built battery electrics and extended range models work well and seemed sorted out. How about that Charger EV, is it ready for prime time? Or the Ram REV? Hopefully the Ramcharger will arrive fully polished and ready for duty.

Chrysler bought into Mitsubishi in the 1970's, selling some of the Japanese products and using other technology in domestic built vehicles. Daimler finally destroyed that relationship. I suspect Leap has some technical know-how which Stellantis could use.

I choose to reject products from China. They are products produced by an oppressive government and should never be sold by Stellantis. You have to stand for something or you stand for nothing at all. Hope this whole venture fails for Stellantis as good folks just say “ no thanks”.

Ohhhh if you didn't think the LEAP has or had problems at launch your mistaken. Biggest complaint is they have little service support across China. They just a are way ahead, teething has already occured.

But your sentiment is correct. The Chinese will run the establish OEM out of the bottom the market. I saw more MG in England than in China, BYD is on a run, Geely already owns Volvo and Polestar..... and London Taxi.

The Chinese are coming and regulators have created their advantage. Better to make revenue from it, but they better focus on the Premium brands or those will be next.
