Italian army assigned a contractor to AADS (Africa Automotive Distribution Services Ltd) automotive group for 210 Jeep J8 Wrangler, of wich 200 light and 10 standard versions.
The light ones are similar to civilian ones. The engines should be 2.2 and/or 3.0 Diesel engines.
They will take place of some AR90 (Land Rover Defender).

The assembly should take place in Gibraltar.

Total cost is something less that Euro 15 millions, and include technical maintenance for 150k km or 6 years. There is an optional for other 210 vehicles.
The other company that partecipated to the bid was FCA Fleet and Tenders S.r.l .
