Enough bad news around to now inject some good stuff. The global picture for Jeep has not changed and it’s probably the most recognized and marketable American brand outside the U.S. Sure, our domestic operations have taken a hiccup, but with pricing changes and a new Compass and Cherokee in the wings, things should improve. Ditching the Renegade and Cherokee, even if there was a case for that decision, did not help things.
I have serious reservations about the Wagoneer S but I have stubbornly held high hopes for the Wagoneer sub brand as the luxury model for Jeep. A hybrid version of the S and Dodge Daytona might help these missteps by Stellantis. This injection of good news should refocus fans on how much good news exists in what has recently been launched and will be launched soon. Cautiously optimistic but needing a booster shot in the arm. Hopefully our management team straightens things out. Now roll up our sleeves, this might hurt a bit.
