The next-generation Jeep® Compass (J4U) has been spotted in full camouflage while charging in public, confirming that the highly anticipated SUV will include an all-electric (BEV) variant when it launches in Europe next month. This sighting provides the first real-world glimpse of the new model, which is built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform.

The new Compass will arrive in our market just in time to face the next generation RAV4 with hybrid, plugin hybrid, and BEV powertrain offerings. The plugin hybrid will feature 100km of battery range. Nissan will be offering a PHEV option for the Rogue by that time as well.

I hope the new Compass does well and Jeep gets the drivetrain offerings correct for our market.
 
This, along with the next generation Cherokee are critical vehicles for Jeep.
It seems that all Stellantis North American brands must present a full selection of power trains to customers to succeed in recapturing markets left unattended too long. In short, they must get this right day one. From this article there seems to be that realization in Europe, one which aligns with their market. Here it is my contention that our market demands ICE, hybrid, plug in hybrid and BEV. Of course our ICE engine must be larger and more powerful, even if less economical, for our market. To ignore the reality of that market is a path to failure. We can increase electrification, if that option begins to gain acceptability, but for the present, ICE is the top choice here, pure hybrid the next choice for most customers. Get this right as day one looms.
 
I like it from what can be seen so far.

But if they try to sell this with a 1.3T and $50k price tag, they will rot on lots just like the Hornet
