Jeep® Brazil has unveiled its updated look for the 2023 Jeep Renegade in a second video teaser. The updated Renegade shows some new design changes both inside and out, that we hope will make it to the North American marketplace. So far, the American adventure brand has only confirmed the changes to its Brazilian-built Renegade (B1) model, which sells throughout the Latin and South American markets.

I’m still seeking an answer, is Jeep Brazil leading the work on compact Jeeps in house or are they one step ahead in executing that work under direction from Jeep USA? It seems to me that if Jeep Brazil is calling the shots they have the talent and assets to do so and the utilization of those assets by Jeep, the brand, is a economic and engineering wise decision. Clearly, if results are used to measure their efforts, they have done well indeed. The Renegade is a valuable product in the global Jeep portfolio and one that needs careful development and execution. This new Renegade is exactly the evolutionary approach to a wildly popular vehicle that has hit a sweet spot in the SUV market. Indeed necessary and cautiously Jeep is updating key components and capabilities to stay current, but keeping the basics intact while giving a fresh expression of that basic theme that the global market has embraced. If Brazil is leading the way, which seems to be the case, that is sound thinking. A close look at this new Compass should assure critics and fans alike that Compass will continue to please many SUV buyers.
