The Jeep® Renegade continues to be the hottest-selling SUV in Brazil. As the American adventure brand’s second-biggest market, Jeep takes Brazil very seriously. In August, our friends from the Brazilian automotive website “AutosSegredos” sent us some spy photos and details of a 2023 Jeep Renegade prototype in camouflage aimed at the Brazilian marketplace.

Poor old Mopar Willy, he seems confused on the global development of Jeep product. Chinese, Indian, Brazilian, Italian and the US, who is leading the Jeep effort? Looks like different areas are taking the lead on certain models, sort of how FCA intended years ago. Seems Brazil is leading the way on compact Jeeps, like this Renegade. No problem, they are doing a great job. Does the US then just follow suit on a modified spinoff built in Italy? Help me out, can we get a graph of all the global Jeeps side by side so I can clear this up. I see US focus on everything Grand Cherokee and up, Brazil on Compass and Renegade and Cherokee under rebooting development based off a downsized Grand Cherokee possibly a wild card here. How is everything moving to the new Stellantis corporate platforms and who is developing what? My guess is that Jeep will be a very different animal in six or seven years and more regionally diverse. Working out my confusion and I need my friends here to help me out. It’s future shock for me and it is not fun for this seasoned warrior and still Mopar devotee.
