FCA killing it in sales

Incredible with the rest of the industry buckling down for a market correction, FCA is killing it.

RAM crossing the 60,000 pretty significant, it now in soild second place.

Wrangler back to the 20,000 monthy pace, interesting do cold weather make people go out and buy Wrangler.

I thought I read somewhere one Jeep plant had a extended shutdown for over capacity?

Something about 100 days inventory??

Everything seems to be selling.

Interesting to play with the numbers for Ram P/U

536,980 (+7%) in 2018 vs 500,723 in 2017
377,286 Ram 1500 (+15%) in 2018 vs 328,074 Ram 1500 in 2017
159,694 Ram HD (-10%) in 2018 vs 177,649 Ram HD in 2017

Upcoming HD refresh will help and aging HDs vs the all new 2017 Ford HD and refreshed 2018 F150. Ford f-series +1.4%

Ram 1500 accounted for 70% of 2018 and 65% of 2017 sales

Where did you find the 531,158 silverado number? TFLtruck list 585,581 so basically flat vs last year.

GoodCarBadCar.net
Chevrolet Silverado Sales Figures

They have been accurate before, maybe not in this case though.

They've got a goose egg for October 2018....so i think they are missing a month for the Silverado. I think 585,581 is the correct number.

In any case, Ram beat Chevy in 3rd quarter and 4th quarter (+28.3 for 4th quarter). Silverado -3.6% for their 4th quarter.

585,581 is the correct number for the Silverado from the GM media release.

Yep, and really the only reason for Silverado outselling RAM for Calendar Year 2018 was the manufacturing problems with RAM in the first half of 2018 that hurted the in-stocks& inventory and slowed the launch.
Those problems that cost FCA a large amount of money, and won't repeat in first half of 2019. RAM (all likelihood) will beat the Silverado for Calender Year 2019.

I think one question is can RAM get to 70,000 monthy sales, then F-Series will have something to worry about.

I have been told by multiple people that Ram outsells the Silverado in Canada. I have been trying to add the US and Canadian Sales figures together to see just where things ended up. Apparently GM Canada thinks this is an adequate sales report.

Also of note, Ford is going to Quarterly reports as GM has.

One other thing, Sterling Heights isn't running on full capacity so when Warren goes down Sterling Heights will likey add a Third-Shift of production but when the Old Silverado with big incentives exit production, GM's redesign will have to stand on its own.

One more thing, I found the more detailed GM numbers for December:GM Sales number December and 2018
Silverado did 66,422 December 2018, but that down from December 2017 where Silverado sold 67,676 while RAM sold 60,155 in December 2018, but that's up HUGE from December 2017 where 44,907 were sold so December is a blowout dump month for Chevy.

So still at the current pace, RAM will highly likely beat Silverado easy in Calender Year 2019 just like beated it in Q3 2018 & Q4 2018.

SHAP is already running 3 crews with Tag Relief.

What?! How can this be? Isn't FCA dying? (In case no one knows this is called sarcasm).:p:LOL:

Can you imagine what it will look like with new Charger/Challenger, Ram HDs, Ram TR/TRX, Jeep wagoneer/grand wagoneer 2 or 3 new Chryslers and 2 or 3 new Dodges in 2022?
