Dodge or Chrysler Needs a Smaller Four-Door Sedan

Dodge or Chrysler Needs a Smaller Four-Door Sedan

The Time is Now for A Smaller RWD-Based Sedan...

For years, Dodge and Chrysler have been known for their big, bold sedans. The last-generation Dodge Charger was often criticized for its massive size, yet the all-new, all-electric 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona is even bigger. While muscle car enthusiasts love the commanding presence, there’s a growing demand for a smaller, sportier four-door sedan—one that could bring performance and practicality together in a more compact package.

A lot of people don't realize that this car isn't a true EV... it uses the same technology they are introducing to the Ramcharger. It was a truly beautiful car.
@TripleT
Respectfully, & the factor that it was Nardelli lead presentation about how Chrysler can be a standalone OEM... The Federal Government saw these models (with Nardelli presentation) under President 44 thought it wasn't realistic & Cerberus had no pipeline.

Based on the current challenges facing the US auto industry in general, and Stellantis in particular, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for new projects to be greenlit any time soon. And I will be surprised if we don't hear announcements in the coming weeks about new vehicles already in the pipeline being (further) delayed or even canceled.
I beg to differ. What the auto tariffs are doing is making it an advantageous time to gain market share and compete with foreign competition. Do it now or just close up shop and go home. It's now or never Stellantis.

If a small sedan was developed it will probably go to Jeep or Ram. All joking aside, Dodge and Chrysler need a lot of different types of vehicles; a sedan or sedans, a variety of crossovers in different sizes, maybe a coupe. If I see another article about Jeep getting a new vehicle I think I may just pull my hair out. I would love to buy a compact luxury Chrysler crossover or sedan. I've been a Mopar guy since 1998. I loved the Chryslers of the late 90s and early 2000s. I had a second generation Concorde and LHS and they were fantastic beautifully designed cars. I want something to drive on daily basis other than my Ram truck. A small Chrysler would be ideal. But the owners of these brands just keep dragging their feet. Incredibly frustrating.

That generation of range extended EV technology did find its way into the BMW i3. How about those batteries from A123.:rolleyes: This Chrysler sedan could be built using the same platform as the Charger, but with the concepts shorter wheelbase and length. Battery and electrification technology has greatly advanced since this concept was introduced. This vehicle could put Chrysler in the spotlight once again.

As far as the styling, IMO this concept only needs a new grill and some detail work. The interior is good, but the idea of eliminating knobs, buttons and switches has proven to be a FAIL .

Toyota says assembled for their vehicle production and manufactured for the parts going into the assembled vehicles.

CAMRY is a very American vehicle, true, point be careful. There is a lot of imported cars from a Box going on, even repacking into NA packaging for imported parts for line side.

Wasn't too long ago the plant manager was fired in Georgetown because the Camry was upside down. Highlander helped change that, single powertrain, helped change that.
