Dodge Fell From First To Last In J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Survey

Could The Hornet Be The Reason? More Than Likely...

In a stunning turn of events, Dodge has experienced a dramatic fall from grace in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Initial Quality Survey (IQS). Just last year, Dodge was celebrated for achieving the top spot in the survey, a testament to its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. However, in 2024, the brand found itself at the bottom of the rankings, a shift that left both the industry and consumers scratching their heads.

Not much left to say here. No way to candy coat this Hornet. From any vantage point - marketing, sales, public acceptance, quality control, it’s a turd and needs to go away. No saving it now. Hope this is not any indication of this new whiz bang global engineering team we’ve got coming as Auburn Hills fades away.

It takes some real incompetence to go from first to last, in one year. We are talking a special talent. “ Wiz Bang” sounds about right. Just let us call it the “Wiz Bang Gang” and leave it at that.

What a shame. Not long ago we were riding the high line, things were great, we knew the end of performance (ok, “traditional performance”) was near but still best selling sedan out of the domestics, fighting and winning over Mustang with Challenger, and….well this thing could have been better.

I’ve still only seen one in person on the road
