Dodge’s engineer kinda confirms an 8-second car is in the work

Can you make a timestamp or mention at what point? thank you

Old thread, but a youtuber brought this up recently.
He claims electric front wheel drive on the wb charger with an 808hp engine. High eights sounds fair....

I don't see them doing anything drastic with this current platform. It would need a huge overhaul

Nope

808 plus 140 is what he claims

Is this the same YouTuber who makes outrageous claims all the time, sometimes stealing real info from reputable sites, and yet still has viewers somehow?

This is why I didn’t mention who it was.

There have been Rt chargers spotted with awd front wheels roaming around. I posted to see what, if any, info might come up

And has no idea how eTorque works since in one video he said that's what they're adding to the hellcat and it will add 200 horsepower? Weird that it doesn't add any power in current configurations. ?

Only slightly more outrageous than the people claiming eTorque doesn't do anything at all.

That is his source of income.

At the time they were shooting the Jay Leno thing, they were also trying out an all-carbon fiber Challenger with Leah Pritchett. She was trying to break the world record. When he says "that's what we're trying to do out there today," he means the Leah Pritchett car - not some super secret squirrel hidden Dodge Angel SuperChallenger project car.

An eight second car might be in the works, but it won’t be street legal. I have no visibility for it if it is happening.

This info goes counter to what I know/have heard.

Timing is right but I don't know why the head of Dodge (at the time) would be involved in an aftermarket deal like that.
