According to Autoblog, the Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe is being axed for the 2019 model year. The sporty Italian mid-engine coupe has been a poor seller since it made it's North American debut in 2014. The Coupe was the first step of the Alfa Romeo brand's return to the United States market. Thus far in it's lifespan the 4C has sold 1,652 units in the United States since 2014. Sales hit it's peak in 2015, with 663 units sold for the year.

Well news isn't all bad for the Alfa Romeo diehards out there. The 4C Spyder will continue on sale in the United States market for the 2019 model year.Motor Authority reports that it gets a $1,000USD price hike for next year, to $66,900USD.

Earlier this month Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA) announced at it's Capital Market's Day press event that the Alfa Romeo was working on a new all-wheel drive, twin-turbo mid-engined Alfa Romeo 8C. This vehicle would ultimately replace the 4C Spyder when it comes to market. But for now, the Alfa Romeo 4C Spyder is buying time.

is it really a poor seller or is there just a lack of models to the USA? The car has a super low capacity.

Poor Seller....

there is currently 162 4Cs in US dealers right now as new cars on Cars.com... considering they sell about 25 of them a month. You have almost a 200 day supply in current inventory.

it is pretty useless as anything other than a toy, a toy I would take.

That 8C gets me a tad excited. Alfa styling is unique in an otherwise very "me-too" segment of luxury cars.

Luxury? or Exotic and Performance? or Maybe Enthusiasts Cars

As a Joe Blow for import knowledge, Alfa in my head competes with BMW and Mercedes. I could be a mile off for who the intended competitor is, but I feel as though Alfa styling is so much sexier than the other 2.

Hopefully it will live with 8C. Carbon monocoque.

Yes, capacity is very likely very small. I doubt that Adler Plastic could produce many more.

Again... problem is its a speciality car here in the States that have a lot of inventory in stock. Most people looking for such a car are looking to order the exact car they want.

This is also true.

Dallara to busy too help?

Dallara to busy too help?

Dallara is making such cars? AFAIK they do design, development.

In any case future 8C should be a continuation of a 4C story. But at completely different price and performance level.
Who knows. Maybe they'll go to Le Mans with it. Technical solution is ideal for a new class which will start in 2020.
