For some of us experiencing future shock (pun intended) all electric vehicles and their current inconveniences are not desirable but even old farts like me must acknowledge they will eventually play a greater and greater role in the automotive world. Yes, free market forces, which I believe drive consumption, are impacting the industry and sobering the decision makers to their overly ambitious electrification timeframe. However electrics are here to stay and innovation and technology will drive more people to them eventually. Stellantis continues to be committed to their Dare Forward plan, which will succumb substantially to market realities with necessary modifications, but technological talent and the commitment they have embraced could lead to dominance in the evolving market in the long term. Us seasoned veterans (aka old folks) may be more than reluctant with this Dare Forward commitment, but even this ancient Mopar warrior is intrigued by this transmission and yes, I have to drive a Charger Daytona because I still have some “spark”in my battery. Pun intended.
