Nice episode.
However I do gotta bring up some items:
Dodge wasn't successful full-line brand,it was a Subprime-Rental Queen hence FIAT took advantage of the legal agreements with dealers that had "Dodge Car"/"Dodge Trucks" and made RAM its own brand.

Dart/200 were low margin product, in segments where Mopar was historically losing in,and segments that was collapsing in volume.
@redriderbob I STRONGLY disagree that such offerings would have anything to with preventing dropping V8. GM has more credits to burn through because it didn't do things like Demon(very profitable projects when FCA was getting out of debt), or have European lineup that didn't meet standards (another source of emission Credit burn).

Finally outside of Tesla, all Automakers can be call laggers/followers in the past decade(you did call Mopar follower the last decade). However , it would a fiction of one's false imagination to even dream of Ford or especially GM as a leader/trend sitter.
The current RAM is a break through product in many ways: it was the end of RAM being a Truck that was sold on "Feature-to-Feature" thousands & thousands price discount spread vs F-Series(F-150).
