LEAKED: Upcoming Subcompact Lancia Ypsilon Shown

Instagram has been abuzz with leaked photos purportedly showcasing the all-new Lancia Ypsilon sans camouflage, offering an unobstructed view of its front and rear. Stellantis plans to officially unveil this electrified compact model in February. These leaked images confirm the Ypsilon’s heavy inspiration from the Pu+Ra HPE Concept. They also align with recent spy photos that surfaced online, showing a Ypsilon prototype recovered from a river in France after an alleged theft. Seems like a confusing and disjointed styling theme that may find it difficult to appeal to customers. I sure hope Chrysler, facing similar neglect and styling confusion seen in the Airflow concept, does not follow this Lancia thinking. Chrysler has such a distinct and stunning historic portfolio to work from it must go back to go forward. Poor Lancia it just seems they are a caldron of confusion searching for the illusive innovative look that seems to have not been found. Chrysler hopefully follows a different path. Sad for Lancia, lots of anxiety for Chrysler and their loyalists.

Lancia has a rich history and a legacy of some really beautiful products.

Ancient society treasured wisdom, enlightenment society valued knowledge, modern society promoted facts, and post-modern society prioritizes data. Europe is ahead of us in North America with cultural decay. As the three transcendentals of truth, goodness and beauty fade into the background of our post-modernist nihilism, don't expect products that are straight forward (honest), good, or beautiful.

I agree. What worries me is a pattern of ignoring those NA tastes in a Euro -Corporate dominated organization. Still a management set on electrification in spite of global rejection in things automotive as well as general applications of that green mindset. If what is being done at Dodge is a glimpse of an all electric Chrysler, that mindset is pressing the agenda and totally not listening to the marketplace in NA. Lancia is not a confidence builder for this Chrysler fan.
