Good news for Jeep, but a word of caution, Jeep management and engineering must be careful that the DNA of the brand does not get diluted in the quest for global sales. Europeans and others are drawn to the Jeep brand and its distinct styling but may not fully grasp the Jeep phenomenon which is highly American centric. Watched a Turkish movie this week where actors were dressed as cowboys, in Istanbul, let’s just say it was not ”Gunsmoke” with Matt Dillon and Miss Kitty. The Avenger might have the look, but be careful Jeep, is it true to our All-American Jeep? Just a word of caution.
