With the impending end of production for the popular supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® HELLCAT V8 engine, Ram enthusiasts have been eagerly speculating about the future of the Ram 1500 TRX performance off-roader. Ram CEO, Mike Koval Jr., has hinted at the possibility of electrification as an alternative powertrain for the TRX.

The HO Hurricane with the ZF hybrid transmission makes a lot more sense to me than the current supercharged Hemi power-train of the TRX.

I would not think they would only settle with Hurricane 6 and 550hp for the Hellcat replacement and it would only be a base of the next Hurricane category.
If Hurricane 6 is 550hp and Hurricane X is 1000hp, I would say the Hellcat Replacement would end up being Hurricane 8 with 700-800hp.

Thoughts of Mopars aside for a moment I share with my friends online a moment of prayer for our fallen heroes, may God bring them peace. Amen.
To this post, why would anyone think the Hurricane would not power the next Ram TRX ? Ram has created an outstanding model, very popular, that regardless of the engine, offers buyers something bold and powerful. This next generation TRX will be just as popular and powerful, so lets just accept the inevitable and get on the same page and move on to something perhaps better.
