If Stellantis would like to have a huge surge of credibility, they would have Mopar offer a replacement battery pack and performance upgrades for the original California compliance Fiat 500e. The Surge is very interesting and I like the idea.

It took a CJ-6 to have enough room for enough battery to give it any range. And for that you lose all cargo space.

The production DJ-5E was a short wheelbase model and had its batteries under the hood. The weight was double that of a CJ, but this was in the days of lead=acid batteries and the range was 50 miles.
