Ordering for Citroën’s all-new flagship model, the C5 X, has officially opened in the United Kingdom (U.K.). The new C5 X is available either with a gasoline internal combustion engine (ICE) or as an efficient plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) with up to 37 miles of electric range.

I don’t know if this concerns anyone else, but I find the resemblance and cookie cutter functionality of this Citroen uncomfortably too close to the Chrysler Airflow prototype. This look seems to just dilute to Chrysler effort to reinvent the brand which has such a distinctive signature styling identity and rich history that the Airflow, indeed a pleasing design study,could be lost in a sea of look alike electric ho hum vehicles. Too much Chrysler DNA available to not have a Chrysler that looks like a Citroen. Hope Chrysler finds its way forward not sideways. Excite me with a next generation 300, a drop top 200 and a Crossfire again. Leave the cookie cutter look to others that can’t or choose not to look back to move forward. Who else is concerned?
