During a visit on Wednesday to the Trémery-Metz manufacturing facilities in France, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares highlighted the transformations at the two plants as evidence of the Company’s progress towards achieving its Dare Forward 2030 electrification ambitions, which include reaching 100% of passenger car battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales mix in Europe and 50% passenger car and light-duty truck BEV sales mix in the United States by 2030. Since 2018, the Company has invested €2 billion ($2.09 billion) in its French manufacturing operations.

I think it would be fair to say that too many take French engineering talent as less capable of let’s say the Germans, Americans Japanese or Italians, but that would be a serious mistake. The French have a very robust aviation and scientific industry and a history of accomplishment as good as anyone. The French talent pool will meld well into the fabric of Stellantis with solid, state of the art contributions such as this one. A need and room for everyone in this global company, a partnership of equals.
