Ram Will Introduce The Brazilian Market To The Ram 1500 Classic, Later This Year!

The Fourth-Generation 1/2-Ton Will Be Available In Two Trim Levels...

For a number of years, the Ram brand only offered its 3/4-ton Ram 2500 Laramie (DJ) as the sole offering for most of the LATAM region. However, in recent years, Ram has continued to grow its portfolio of full-size trucks in places like Brazil. In December 2020, Ram Brazil introduced the Ram 1500 Rebel (DT) to its lineup. After a number of special edition Ram 2500 models, Ram Brazil launched the Ram 3500 (D2) in both Laramie and the luxury-oriented Limited Longhorn trim levels.

Now the brand will be releasing yet another model, looking to continue to grow within the pickup-loving Brazilian marketplace.

More good Ram news. As a supporting addendum to my comments yesterday on Ram compact and mid-size pickups in the LATAM market where, it is hinted,Ram will be presenting itself as a “luxury” brand going forward. This policy seems to be smart. Rather than simply Fiat rebadged as Ram trucks, the next generation smaller Rams will be wider, longer, more capable and more well appointed than Fiat and positioned to give a distinctive premium credential to the Ram brand. This formula may also, as I speculated, give credibility to importing a North American spin off in the compact truck segment at a minimum investment for Ram NA. Seems Ram is benefiting from Jeeps coat tails in the LATAM market. Indeed, good news.
