Like most automakers, the Maserati brand is embracing the industry’s direction towards electrification. The Italian marque has made it open knowledge about its intentions to bring a lineup of vehicles powered by its all-new Folgore (Italian for “lightning”) electrified powertrain. However, Maserati has not discussed details about the new propulsion system only that it exists, that is until now.

It could, wouldn't surprise me if both cars are being made beside one another or have a lot of the same people on them

I don't believe you will have a lot of overlap between Maserati and Dodge in the development of both cars. I'll refrain from posting my internal thoughts of a Maserati being co-developed with a Dodge because I don't want to be offensive to Dodge.
It's as offensive to me as saying that Ferrari would be co-developing a car with Ford.

5 years ago that would be true, but when they're likely to share the same battery and motors (and be their first BEV's) I can see them working with each other. I can't get a straight answer if the Masi uses STLA LG, I am sure that's by design

I'm certain they'll share the same platform, and maybe the same engine. Batteries I believe it'll depend on supplier for cars built in Europe versus cars built in the US. There are still plenty of constraints in securing supplies.
But that does not mean they'll be co-developed. The starting material will be the same but keep the development teams separate. I don't want a Maserati showing up in the US as a rebadged Dodge like they are doing with the Tonale/Hornet.

I am actually not 100% on the same platform as it was announced Maserati was going EV (and they started working on them) long before the merger and announcement of new platforms. They should be, but wouldn't surprise me if the GT was a lone wolf. It will take discipline from them not to be the same car, with challenger they are very similar in dimensions, power and even weight.
